Consultant - Emergency Medicine - Albany Health CampusWA Country Health Service (WACHS) is offering a unique opportunity for a Consultant Emergency Medicine for one of its highly desirable regions - the Great Southern region.Albany Health Campus currently has 1x Full-Time permanent position for immediate appointment.This is a Recruitment Pool to fill Various (Casual, Sessional, Part-Time, and Full-Time) Permanent or Fixed Term appointments. Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.Remuneration package Year 1 – 9 $375,863 - $477,340 per annum(Salary as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2022: Salary is inclusive of base salary as part of Arrangement A $306,689 – $398,110 per annum, $31,926 per annum professional development allowance, 11% employer contributed superannuation). additional
treatment bays, resuscitation bays and a short-stay observation unit
are available now

The Emergency Department
also has treatment rooms especially designed for treating children and patients with mental illness.
The t
reatment bays have solid walls for greater privacy. The ED has its own 24/7 entrance for fast access.
The E
mergency Department has had 48,000 presentations in 2022.
The Emergency Department relies on Triage Code 1-5 system which enables the department to respond to patients quickly and efficiently

bout the roleWe are seeking a Consultant-Emergency Medicine who will
be responsible for
the provision of a comprehensive clinical service in Emergency Medicine to Patients of WA Country Health Service-
Great Southern and the leadership of the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive emergency services to patients of the Albany Health Campus. Promotes patient quality and safety within the emergency department. Provides leadership, management, training, supervision and education for Senior Medical Practitioners, Interns, Resident Medical Officers, and Registrars in collaboration with the Director of Medical Services
