Work Health & Safety Manager | Part Time Position

Your Role
You will report to the Safety & Quality General Manager and be responsible for providing expert knowledge and guidance in relation to continuous improvement in the Work Health & Safety practises for the company. Your main duties and responsibilities include;
Ensuring compliance with all Regulatory and Legal requirements for Work Health Safety & QualityEnsuring that critical risks are adequately identified and controlledContractor management in terms of;Compliances, Training, inductionsEnsure SWMS and Emergency Plans are in place for all works and are appropriately reviewed by the project manager assigned to the jobConduct Due Diligence required for each project such as;Coordinate a schedule of site safety inspectionsUndertake as appropriate site visits, to ensure adherence to requirementsEnsuring Quality Systems and Documents are controlled and handled accordinglySystem maintenance schedule including activities as scheduledDevelopment and review of SOPsConduct internal auditsManage Continuous Improvement activitiesPromote and facilitate continuous improvement in all functionsFollow through CI’s/NCR’s reported including investigations, actions and close outHold regular meetings as requiredProvide regular reporting to managementFacilitate transition to ISO45001Facilitate transition to an efficient central intranet platform.All other activities or functions necessary to complete the requirements of the role as they ariseOther Details
The position is Permanent Part-time, approximately 16-20 hours per week and the remuneration guide is $80-90K + Super (Full Time Equivalent).
About You
You will have a keen desire to help people and core values circling around family, team work and serviceYou will have relevant Cert IV or higher in Work Health & Safety and at least 5 years’ of experience in a similar positionYou will have knowledge of the SA Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Codes of PracticeKnowledge of hazard reporting and risk management with a commitment to continuous improvementExperience in contractor management with construction background preferredAbility to conduct thorough investigations to establish root cause contributing to accidents, incidents or non-compliant practice and make recommendation for corrective or preventative actionExperience AS4801/ISO45001 and ISO9001 CMS including document control and system maintenance activitiesStrong skills with ITAbility to prepare and present training sessions
