About this role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.
The Critical Care Unit is an 11-bed combined ICU, HDU, and CCU with a key focus on Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Interventional Cardiology.
The CCU has a full-time Clinical Nurse Educator who is available to provide supported learning to all staff, regardless of experience. The family-friendly and supportive team environment is dedicated to providing best practices and outcomes for patients and families, along with a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities

• Provision of high standards of care to all patients
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to escalate care of deteriorating patients

What you bring

• AHPRA Registration
• Demonstrated 2 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting, ICU/HDU experience a bonus.
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
