An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Nurse (Clinical Coach) to join the Surgical Ward Team at the Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme ( )

Your opportunity:

  • Coach and actively guide and encourage nursing / midwifery staff towards the delivery of quality care by promoting knowledge and skills for evidence-based and patient-focused clinical services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Develop, foster, and encourage a culture of learning through mentoring and preceptor support for all nursing / midwifery staff through all stages of the clinical journey, supporting timely resolution of clinical education needs and challenges.

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( ) (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $65,950 p.a., comprising salary between $54.45 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.)
