The Tasmania Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service, that will deliver integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, North West and South and a statewide and Residential Recovery Program (RRP).We are looking for clinicians with an interest in eating disorders (no prior experience in eating disorders required) who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care.The Role:The Clinical Lead will provide high level support to the TEDS Manager, within the relevant local region, in the provision ofLeadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.Effective management of specified human and physical resources.Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Position FeaturesParticipate in the TEDS Community Based Intensive Treatment and Residential Recovery Program which delivers services for adults (16 year and older) with an eating disorder and their family and carers.Details of AppointmentPermanent full time day worker position working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $111,506 - $118,336per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification typeProfessional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annumRelocation assistance may be available for the right applicantSalary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that lead to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.Current Working with Children Registration.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in mental health or relevant fieldExperience and/or interest in working with people experiencing eating disorders or other mental health conditions.Experience in clinical and professional supervisionEating Disorder Credentialed practitionerCurrent Driver’s License.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
