The Victoria Hospital Rothesay is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about patient care and quality and has a willingness to develop their leadership and clinical skills.
The Senior Staff Nurse post/ENP will have at least 3 years Band 5 experience working within the nursing teams of the general ward and be able to evidence A&E experience. The post holder will work mainly within the A&E department but also within the general ward to provide clinical assessment, support and leadership to the hospital staff team.
You will work closely with the SCN to ensure the highest standard of personalised nursing care is delivered to patients and their families in partnership with all members of the multi disciplinary team on the Island.
The Victoria Hospital has a busy non bypass A&E department, general ward and out-patient department and works closely with our community services to provide a seamless service to our island community.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
