We have an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist to join the GMED Out of Hours team.  The post holder will join a well-established service and be key to the ongoing medicines management to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicine in line with local and national guidelines. 

The post holder will have an opportunity to use their knowledge, skills and experience to develop and shape the role. Service would support and encourage the post holder with professional development opportunities.

The post holder will work as a senior member of the GMED team having close collaboration with the pharmacy department at ARI and HSCP lead pharmacists.  

Although the post holder will be based in Aberdeen City, they will be required to frequently travel throughout Grampian to outlying GMED cells in Stonehaven, Banchory, Inverurie, Huntly, Fraserburgh, Elgin and Peterhead. The post holder will have access to the GMED pool car for this.

The post holder should have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.  Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.  A full, clean driving licence is also essential.
