An awarding winning multi-discipline practice is looking to grow their team with the addition of a Principal Designer/CDM Advisor. The Liverpool based firm is looking for a competent professional who has proven consultancy experience.

The practice takes great pride in providing accurate construction advice across the built environment. Due to the continued success of the PD division an opportunity has arisen for a Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join the department. The successful individual will have the advantage of working on the firms diverse client portfolio.

The role is to support the Lead Partner with several programmes across Liverpool and the surrounding home counties. You the successful Principal Designer/CDM Advisor will deliver projects in the commercial, residential, education and retail sectors. This role is ideal for an experienced CDM/PD professional who wants autonomy of running your own schemes. You will liaise with high level stakeholders and spot new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Offer a variety of health & safety/ CDM services to a diverse client base.
  • Oversee design risk registers and ensure that they are updated on a regular basis as projects progress and carry out design risk reviews, along with design team meetings and offer input regarding safety in design.
  • Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g CPPs, PCIs, H&S file etc. and that the documents are updated on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders on projects client, principal contractor, architect etc. and keep them updated in relation to H&S/ CDM matters.
  • Ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
  • Develop existing client relationships and spot new opportunities

Principal Designer/CDM Advisor

  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Member to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body
  • Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations
  • Good knowledge of the BSA and changes affecting the industry
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience in similar role
  • Full UK drivers licence
