Applications are invited for locum training posts at the level of ST4 and above in Emergency Medicine based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. 

Post 1 is 12 month LAT from August 24 and Post 2 is 12 month LAT from February 25.

These posts would be suitable for those aiming to complete their experience in Emergency Medicine in preparation for a CESR application. Strong consideration will be given to applicants who have ST3 equivalence but require support to complete MRCEM primary examinations.

These posts offered by NHS Grampian are posts working between Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital which are co-located on the same site.  It is expected that the applicants will be able to work as a registrar in paediatrics, resus and adults within an Emergency Department setting.

Our department is a supportive one for trainees and we run a successful  self-rostering system with protected regional teaching and Educational Development Time. Consultants are on the shop floor from 08:00 to 02:00, and on site on call from 02:00 - 08:00.  You will have the opportunity to develop interests in a wide variety of skills. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital are recognised regional major trauma centres in the North of Scotland served by a pre-hospital retrieval team and where you will see a range of complex trauma management.
