An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Patient Services Assistants  to join our PSA Pool  in permanent part-time or full-time contracts.

The PSA Pool role is a flexible role that sees the staff member working in many departments, including inpatient and outpatient departments, across all 3 campuses. Pool staff are required to undertake regular SuperClean programs scheduled throughout the year in wards as well as other cleaning roles to meet specific cleaning standards as coordinated by the PSA Coordinator. During periods when these programs are not scheduled, PSA Pool staff will be allocated work locations as relief staff. The PSA pool will work rostered shifts managed by the Nursing Workforce Unit.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

  • Willingness to perform all PSA duties and tasks and work in a team
  • Physically capable of undertaking the full range of PSA duties
  • Ability to use initiative and to prioritise tasks and problem solve
  • A commitment to Austin Health values
  • Basic verbal and written English skills
  • Basic computer literacy
