Our client is a leading and reputable construction company dedicated to delivering excellence in civil infrastructure projects.
About the role:
Oversee, implement, audit, and continuously enhance SHWEQ Systems and to achieve and sustain compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, including guidelines, codes of practice, standards, and specific contractual obligations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and assessing on-site risks, and implementing necessary controls.
  • Training and inducting workers on project sites, ensuring their awareness of and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Applying critical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Assisting project teams in risk assessment, planning, and documentation development.
  • Upholding high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Meeting deadlines and driving key deliverables.
  • Performing effective internal audits on assigned project sites, issuing corrective actions, and ensuring their closure and rectification.
  • Recording and reporting required statistics and trends to Senior Management.
  • Leading safety and well-being initiatives to promote a zero-harm culture.

To be successful in this type of role
  • Diploma WHS or higher 
  • First Aid & CPR training Certificate.
  • ICAM Lead Investigator Certificate 
  • Minimum 6+ years working in a similar role within the civil or utilities industry.
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills to lead the project and site teams on all matters relating to HSEQ
  • Must be an excellent communicator and able to build rapport with all key stakeholders.
  • Be able to carry out meetings and presentations with both your team and the client.
  • Excellent administration and computer systems.
  • Demonstrate a real passion for safety.
