Mater Research are looking for a Research Agreements Officer to join the team! This permanent, full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

Salary range: $87,674 - $95,892 per annum plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

The Research Agreements Officer works within the Research Compliance team to manage the day-to-day tasks involved in the process of registration of new agreements, initial set up, and follow up of agreements through to execution.

The Research Agreements Officer will work closely with the Senior Agreements Officer and Mater Legal Counsel. The Research Agreements Officer will work collaboratively with the Research Governance team to facilitate Research Agreements supporting the research activities at Mater.

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, or attributes:

  • Exposure to a research environment or legal environment, or studies in biomedical science, law and/or clinical experience in a relevant health discipline will be viewed favourably. 
  • The ability to comprehend research proposals and demonstrated experience in the review of documentation and accurately identifying errors or omissions.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent client service and support with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Sound understanding of the legislation, codes and guidelines relevant to research or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and technical expertise related to Mater Research activities.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure and respond to feedback with excellent organisational skills.
  • Appropriate digital literacy skills and experience in the use of complex software systems as part of daily operations.
