Your part-time role

As a Nurse in the Air Force Specialist Reserve, you’ll provide the highest standards of patient care and lead teams in a variety of environments.

You’ll provide specialist aviation nursing and healthcare to ADF personnel in deployed and non-deployed environments. When called upon, you may also have opportunities to assist communities in need both within Australia and overseas.

In addition to fulfilling a management and leadership role as an Officer in the Air Force, you will carry out general nursing duties at hospitals and clinics, gaining valuable primary healthcare skills.

This is an opportunity to further develop your skills and expertise and take on a rewarding part-time role in an environment like no other.

The pay you receive in the Air Force Specialist Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.

You will earn a good salary from day one, and on completion of your initial military training you could earn a tax-free daily rate of $233.
