About the Role

Centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes. A great opportunity to increase your skills in a leadership capacity. You will provide a high standard of leadership, clinical support, and supervision to clinical staff based within the Continuing Care Team at Hawthorn Clinic.

You will join a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.

  • Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice providing supervision and leadership to clinical staff
  • Work together with the Team Manager to provide operational oversight, and develop processes, which improve the delivery of clinical care to consumers and their families/carers
  • When required, undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers

Classification Range

  • OT/SW Grade 3 YB24 - YB27 or YC46 - YC49 ($99,606 - $113,796 per annum)
  • Psychologist Grade 3 PL1 – PL4 ($104,078 - $119,095 per annum pro rata)
  • RPN Grade 4 NP75 - NP77 ($110,80 - $115,850 per annum pro rata)
  • An over award amount of $14,000 per annum is attached on top of the base salary


Your Contribution

  • Current registration with AHPRA (if relevant)
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification clinical experience for Nursing, and 7 years post qualification clinical experience for Allied Health within Mental Health Services
  • Extensive experience in the provision of assessment, discipline specific intervention and case management services for consumers experiencing early psychosis, as well as providing appropriate support for their carers and families within a recovery framework
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision and leadership to other mental health staff
  • A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 ) and other relevant legislation
  • Current Victorian driver’s license
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About the Hawthorn Mental Health Continuing Care Team

St. Vincent’s Mental Health (SVMH) includes an adult area mental health service for the inner city area of Boroondara. 

The Continuing Care Team provide ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of consumers who have a lived experience of mental ill health and associated complex needs. The multidisciplinary team provides a range of clinical and therapeutic interventions using the recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
