About the role

  • Advise & coach operational managers, supervisors, and workers regarding achieving compliance and best practice for WHS, worker’s compensation & injury management, safety & environmental matters.
  • Provide HSE assurance & due diligence support, including undertaking internal audits and facilitating external audits.
  • Ensure governance processes are implemented to assist management in ensuring the HSE legal and business requirements are being met, and injuries appropriately classified and managed.
  • Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the HSE Manager.

About You

  • Certificate IV, Diploma and/or tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent
  • Experience working in construction, rail and mining industries highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
