Registered Nurse - Tarra

Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Tarra unit on a part time- ongoing basis.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic orthopaedic unit. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with orthopaedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and musculoskeletal injuries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring that our patients receive care that is planned, implemented, evaluated, and maintained to a high standard. They should ensure that the well-being of patients is the primary focus of care within the unit. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve goals and health outcomes.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in orthopaedic nursing or related specialty is preferred.
  • Proficiency in conducting physical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and administering medications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on advancements in orthopaedic nursing practice.
