  • Remuneration:$33.30-$34.33 per hour, excluding superannuation.

About the role

The Administration Officer is a valued member of Calvary Mater Newcastle’s Clinical Information Department. The role provides efficient medical record, clerical and scanning services to the Hospital. The administration officer supports front line patient services, quality record management and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely data entry into Patient Administration Systems.
  • Undertake a high-volume workload and be available to assist others when required.
  • Audit and reassemble discharged patient records, locating prior notes as applicable and using hybrid systems.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the availability of complete and timely medical records.

What you bring:

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft suites and experience with patient databases.
  • Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements in a hospital/health care setting.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, process high volume workloads, and to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in a Medical Record Department or similar environment with the responsibility of maintaining patient records in hybrid formats.
