As the OHS Advisor (ServiceSystems Lead) , you will spearhead the development, implementation, andmanagement of Hudson Institute's OHS service system and platform framework.Your primary focus will be on enhancing online platforms for OHS and recordsmanagement, driving the analysis, streamlining, and simplification of OHSprocesses. Utilizing your leadership and engagement skills, you'll foster aculture of continuous process improvement within the OHS team.

In addition to managing the OHSservice system, you will oversee an online library of processes, OHS records,and tracking of inductions and training, contributing to the broader functionsof the Health and Safety team. Acting as the first point of contact for all OHSmatters, injury management, and emergency management, you'll also facilitateand maintain OHS communications within the Hudson Institute.

The OHS Advisor (Service SystemsLead) is an integral part of the Health and Safety team and will reportdirectly to the Health and Safety Manager.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education/ Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in OccupationalHealth and Safety and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.

Knowledge and skills

  • Highlydeveloped analysis and process mapping skills and a demonstrated ability tostreamline and simplify complex methods or concepts.
  • Experiencein development and maintenance of web content and using a web contentmanagement system.
  • Projectmanagement skills, with proven ability to lead a team or group in theachievement of common goals and objectives.
  • Highlyeffective stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintaineffective working relationships and act with diplomacy and discretion whendealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Effectivewritten and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated capacity to develophigh-quality written materials and develop and deliver presentations for largeaudiences.
  • Effectiveorganisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly under pressure, managecompeting demands and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experiencein the effective implementation and/or administration of IT systems in a largeand complex organisation.
  • Abilityto work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
  • Highlydeveloped computer literacy, particularly using the Microsoft Office suite ofapplications, database/records management systems and web technology, includingthe ability to learn and adopt new modes of communication and software packagesas required.
  • Experience working within a university, hospital ormedical research environment. Experience working within a laboratoryenvironment.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment,or equivalent experience in the development and delivery of training programsin a workplace environment.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

This position is available in a Full time or Part time (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Scientific Support GroupTap 6. As a not-for-profit organization, employees have access to generous salarypackaging options.
