About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 2 Orthoptist who has a willingness to participate in a dynamic team environment. The Ophthalmology clinic runs out of Yarra Ranges health based in Lilydale and is operational Monday to Friday 0830 to 1700. The clinic is a busy department providing a high level of pre and post operative care for patients requiring specialised care.
You will be required to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care to our patients. Previous outpatient experience is desirable.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Bachelor of Orthoptic & Ophthalmic Sciences Degree, or equivalent ,
Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in line with the requirements of a Grade 2 Position.
Registration with the Orthoptic Board of Australia
Ability to analyse, interpret and report on information, and provide recommendations.
Proven ability to work independently and effectively with a variety of situations, individuals, or groups.
Knowledge of recent clinical practices in orthoptics, and experience in working with vision impaired patients.
Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
