Overlooking the Peace River, the town of Fort St John is located above the Peace River Valley, and serves as the capital of the Peace River district. Practice Details:

Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the Fort St. John Hospital Emergency Department in Fort St. John, British Columbia. A level 4 trauma center.

Income Guarantee Option 1 (includes FFS, RRP, and MOCAP):
Morning shift: 0700-1900: $4,111/weekday, $4,416/weekend. Night shift: 1900-0700: $4,501 (weekday or weekend)

Income Guarantee Option 2 (includes FFS, RRP, and MOCAP):
Morning shift: 0500-1300: $2,820/weekday, $2,972/weekend. Afternoon shift: 1300-2000: $2,417/weekday, $2,569/weekend. Night shift: 2000-0500: $3,376 (weekday or weekend). You can expect to see an average of 25-30 patients per shift.

Travel and accommodation covered. Travel stipend: $250-$1,500 based on time. Maximum, $1,500 per round trip.

Option 3 (No income guarantee):
FFS. You can expect to earn $3,380 - $4,030 FFS/shift (includes $1,000 shift stipend, 21.70% MSP Premium, and $25.68 MOCAP. Travel, accommodation, and car rental covered.

    The Fort St. John Hospital has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year. Some more highlights about the hospital:

    • Ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis
    • Medical and Surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds)
