Western Health is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide service throughout the Corner Brook Region. Please note while this position will be assigned a primary location at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, the incumbent will be required to travel throughout a designated service area providing Nurse Practitioner services across multiple program areas including but not limited to acute care, emergency/fast track, long term care, primary health care clinics and community based service if required by the employer. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective agreement.
Required Qualifications: Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and a current Nurse Practitioner license are required. Completion of a Canadian Recognized wound care management program (e.g. the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course) is preferred. A minimum of five years recent clinical experience with demonstrated competency and clinical expertise in wound care management is preferred. The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential. Experience working independently with limited supervision and a willingness to travel are also required.
*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is a requirement for this position.
Please Note: The ability to travel within the Western Region and use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.
If no suitable candidate with a Canadian recognized wound care management program is found, consideration may be given to those candidates who are prepared to enrol in the program and complete same within two years of appointment.
Hours of Work: 75 Hours per pay period
0800-1600 Hours; Monday-Friday
Salary Scale: $98,046.00 to $121,680.00
