Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our project-based civil engineering team. As part of a growing team with a commitment to excellence, you will be provided with challenging work on a wide range of engineering and civil infrastructure projects.

What you will do:
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective relationships that facilitate successful communication and implementation of Georgiou’s HSE systems.
  • Ensure project teams are adequately trained to perform their HSE responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching to ensure total compliance with internal HSE systems and legislative requirements.
  • Support the business in the preparation of toolbox and HSE pre-start content.
  • Implement and communicate improvements and strategies in response to changes impacting HSE activities.
  • Maintain and assist in the ongoing development of Georgiou’s HSE systems.
  • Influence a positive attitude and commitment towards safety across the business.
What you are good at:

Aside from having experience in a previous safety role with working knowledge ideally within the civil construction industry and chain of responsibility requirements, you should have demonstrated examples to showcase:

  • Thorough Knowledge of AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Act & Regulations.
  • Incident Investigation experience.
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act.
  • Implement a personalized brand of exemplary safety behavior.
  • Continuing to maintain the high standard of safety management policies and procedures in place.
