About your new role:
We are seeking a part time Leisure & Therapy Partner to join our team in Brookton. You will help promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents, by partnering with them to be involved in the meaningful activities of their life. Your responsibilities will include:
Partnering with the allied health team to support residents in maintaining optimal functional abilities.
Actively support residents to use and develop their abilities to engage in activities meaning to residents.
Ensure safe and sound work practices that comply with Work, Health and Safety policies.
Follow residents' care plans in the provision of person-centered support during therapeutic activities.
Encourage and support family participation in the everyday life of their family member.
Roster:
Monday | 9:30 - 16:00
Skills and Experience
In order to be successful for this role, you will be a Therapy & Leisure Partner with experience in dealing with dementia. To be considered you will also need the following:
Experience dealing with dementia clients and residents in relation to leisure and therapeutic activity
Cert III in Allied Health (highly advantageous)
Commitment to providing a customer-centric approach
Able to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
