We are currently seeking enthusiastic Dance Therapist to join our diverse team in Greater Sydney NSW. 

As a Dance/Movement Therapist, your primary responsibility is to involve utilising dance and movement as therapeutic tools to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of neurodiverse children and adults and people with disabilities. This service will be tailored to the needs of individual client and of a group.

• Conducting initial assessments to evaluate clients' needs, abilities, challenges, and goals related to movement and dance.
• Using movement observation, improvisation, guided movement experiences, and dance/movement games to facilitate therapeutic outcomes.
• Modifying dance/movement therapy interventions to accommodate the unique needs and abilities of individuals with disabilities.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client progress, session notes, and treatment plans.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide integrated care.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in music therapy research, techniques, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience working in the NDIS sector
• First Aid/CPR
• Valid Australian Driver’s License

Working Conditions:

• Work may be conducted in various settings, including client homes, and community institutions.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs, including occasional evening or weekend appointments.
• Travel may be required to visit multiple client locations within a designated geographic area.
