Team Lead Occupational Therapist - Community / NDIS - Ballarat

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a Team Leader role in Ballarat.

Our client takes a holistic approach to therapy, to provide an individualised support service where clients live, work and play. Their passionate multi disciplinary team are rapidly growing and expanding across Western Victoria to help support more individuals work towards and achieve their goals.
About The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to take on a Team Lead community role in Ballarat.
In this role you will work as part of a broader multidisciplinary team, providing assessments and effective therapeutic interventions that have a focus on building functional capacity. Also enjoy developing therapy plans with the goal of improving life satisfaction, function, and better social/community participation.
Work with a broad range of clientele where they live, work, learn and play, including their homes, workplace, or schools, as well as out in the broader community. See clients aged from 2-65 years, all under the NDIS. You will have the opportunity to tailor the caseload to suit your clinical interests and expertise.
This is a full-time position.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • 4-5 years’ experience is required
  • AHPRA registration
  • Thorough NDIS experience and understanding (min 1 year NDIS exp.)
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership and support to individuals through joint work, supervision, consultation and mentoring
  • A passion for assisting clients to reach their full potential
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • A learning mindset with a desire to challenge your existing perception
  • Enthusiasm to grow and expand your knowledge, skill-set and career
  • Current drivers licence and registered vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Eligible to work permanently in Australia
