What You Will Be Doing
The Senior Exercise Physiologist works within the Early Intervention in Chronic Disease Team, within Community Health at Peninsula Health. This team works with the health needs of adults 65 years and older, younger adults with health conditions, and adults with a chronic condition and/or psychosocial issues. This includes the indigenous community and other CALD groups.
The role of the Senior Exercise Physiologist also includes representing Exercise Physiology across (within) the wider organisation; participating in future service planning and providing clinical leadership to all exercise physiologists within Community Health, as well as providing excellent care to their client caseload.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Current accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) (essential)
• Capacity and experience in supervising other health professionals: students, allied health assistants and Exercise Physiologists (essential)
• Proven ability to independently assess and prescribe clinical exercise in line with current best practice guidelines (essential)
• Drivers Licence (essential)
• Completed tertiary study at Masters level e.g. Master in; clinical exercise physiology, exercise physiology (desirable)

*Please refer to salary circular for ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
