The Location:
Our client is situated on one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations with idyllic tropical islands on your door step and a relaxed way of life. This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 120,000. The Hospital:
The hospital has recently enjoyed a major $408 Million overhaul and expansion doubling the number of beds to over 300 and increasing the size by 40,000m2 including a new Emergency Department. This is now a state of the art fully modern hospital and one of Australia’s largest regional healthcare facilities.
The hospital is also accredited for training with a number of the colleges and provides the following specialist services to the local community:
ED, O&G, Paeds, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, ICU, Coronary care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care & Day Surgery.
The hospital also operates the following clinics: Dermatology, Oncology, Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical, Neurology, Liver, Diabetic, Urology, Surgical, Medical, Renal, Pacemaker, Cardiac, Haematology, Ophthalmology & Wound Management and is also closely affiliated to the local and regional medical school so academic opportunities may be available.
The Position:
Working in this busy, state of the art public hospital Medicine Department you will enjoy lots of consultant and senior medical officer support so it is great place to learn and develop.
Your Profile:
Ideally the hospital are looking for either an SRMO or Registrar with at least 6 months Australian or UK General Medicine experience at Registrar level.
