About the role

  • The Facilities Officer is responsible for coordinating and undertaking a range of project planning, administration and management functions and services for SA Pathology building projects and facilities works in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  • The role provides a building and maintenance consulting service to SA Pathology management and staff in the planning and delivery of works, including undertaking costing analysis, providing operational advice and guidance, and providing recommendations for the resolution of Work Health and Safety issues and risks.
  • The Facilities Officer provides expert operational advice to the development and delivery of the planned and remedial maintenance program for SA Pathology facilities and provides a responsive point of contact service for the Across Government Facilities Management Agreement (AGFMA), including undertaking investigations and providing reporting.
  • The Facilities Officer oversees and monitors trades persons from multiple disciplines and evaluates their work to ensure delivery in accordance with agreed schedules and work practices and in compliance with, all relevant standards, codes and regulations. 

Qualifications  

  • A recognised Trade qualification in a relevant discipline.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
