As the WHS Business Partner - Wellbeing Lead you will play a pivotal role in maturing the Safety Management System through the provision of proactive, legislatively sound business partnering advice.

Actively build a safety culture and promote safety management activities within the Southern Region where the management of critical risks becomes an organic part of day-to-day business.Provide leadership and coaching to managers against the WHS unified risk register to ensure they reflect the current WHS risks, the timely and effective implementation of controls assuring risks are being managed within tolerances and reportedDevelop and embed psychosocial hazard risk management initiatives and activities including the promotion of positive practices and appropriate support and recovery processesManage the internal mental health first aiders cohort across the company including the approach to their ongoing learning, development, support and early intervention pathwaysContribute to the Healthy Systems of Work strategy through the development of wellbeing initiatives such as proactive health programs, effective change management, improved leader capability and development and the management of volunteering strategies and industry partnershipsProvide advice and recommendations on workplace health and safety (WHS) mattersEnsure best practice WHS and ISO Standard compliance through researching and maintaining knowledge of relevant trendsComply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and healthy work environmentThe ideal candidate:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior WHS practitioner roleComprehensive understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practiceDemonstrated ability to effectively plan and lead initiatives and manage projects effectively in a dynamic, complex environment with competing priorities.Experience in wellbeing program or psychosocial risk managementIncident investigation qualifications (ICAM)Tertiary qualifications in Health and SafetyAccreditation to Health and Safety industry bodiesMental Health Qualifications or the desire to obtain these qualifications (including train the trainer)If this sounds like the next step in your career, apply today.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Work Health and Safety Business Partner?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How many years' experience do you have with change management?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Are you available to travel for this role when required?Report this job advert
