About the role

The Digital Health Project Clinical Lead will provide specialised clinical informatics skills and services to support implementation of Digital Health projects, to support improved delivery of healthcare services across West Moreton Health (WMH). The role will undertake project management activities and contribute to project planning to progress and manage clinical deliverables in accordance with the project lifecycle.

This role works collaboratively with the relevant clinical and business stakeholders to develop integrated clinical digital workflows that facilitate the safe and effective implementation and adoption of clinical digital applications that improve business operations and complement accurate collation of data for reporting and improvement purposes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Expert clinical knowledge on work practices in the development, management and implementation of digital platforms involving medication prescribing.
  • Provision of high-level advice on clinical processes, applying high level professional knowledge to support the revision/development of pharmaceutical protocols within digital applications.
  • Clinical knowledge and experience in large Digital Health application solutions, preferably with experience in the design, build and maintenance of those solutions.
  • Ability to provide consultative leadership, direction and advice to a range of stakeholders in the implementation of Digital Health projects and initiatives.
  • High-level critical analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills using a systematic, evidence-based approach with a solution focus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to rapidly adapt to meet the needs of stakeholders in a complex and challenging environment. 

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification, or evidence of enrolment in a post graduate program, in a relevant area of study would be highly desirable.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16(PDF) ( https://www.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/150120/hed-0116.pdf )
