About us:

The Business Analysis Decision Support (BADS) Team works closely with key stakeholders such as the CQ Executive Leadership Team, Senior Clinicians and Managers, CQHHS Finance Team and the CQHHS Infrastructure Development Unit to provide high quality health planning, patient activity and business analytics, clinical costing, and decision support services to support CQHHS business planning processes through a commitment to evidence-based practices, quality reporting and analysis.

About the role:

The Manager Health Service Planning and Performance will lead and manage a portfolio and team that supports health service planning, clinical costing, business analysis and decision support. This will include the identification of health service priorities, development, monitoring and review of health service plans and needs analyses as well as the application of business analysis and decision-making functions with regards to service enhancement and improvement. This position represents the sole dedicated health planning resource in the BADS Unit.

About you:

• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification or extensive experience with service planning, data analytics and health funding models would be well regarded.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of health priority areas, key health needs of population groups and key health system issues.
• Advanced ability to critically analyse activity and performance data, incorporating clinically based evidence and health service planning/provision information.
• High level written and oral communication skills, including strong management and leadership skills, the ability to compile comprehensive reports, submissions, discussion papers, advice notes and other required correspondence.
• Demonstrated track record in building and maintaining effective professional and consultative relationships with senior stakeholders and demonstrated ability to manage challenges with integrity, tact and diplomacy.

Total remuneration value of up to $14, 740 p.m. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $73.89 - $78.18 p.h.
