About us:

The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service works in collaboration with the Adult Mental Health Inpatient and Acute Care Teams, Primary Health as well as community and private sector providers to reduce symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.

About the role:

A Nurse Grade 3 is an Enrolled Nurse who supports a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife in the provision of person-centred care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

  • Use nursing knowledge and skills to support and contribute to the delivery of patient centred care and to gain support to address patient care needs that are outside scope of practice.
  • Contributes to the development and review of care plans, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the patient.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with an annual practicing certificate.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills that support therapeutic nurse-patient communications and working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Nursing knowledge and skills to competently assess, implement, and evaluate patient care within scope of practice.
  • Ability and motivation to continually progress own competency along the continuum from novice to advanced level.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $86,259 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.92 - $38.12 p.h. (f/t)(p/t) or $44.18 - $46.89 p.h. Casual (including 23% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
