We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse Scrub Scout who is passionate to join the Scrub Scout Team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.
As a Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:
* Aiming to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care by following evidence-based practice.
* Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the theatre complex.
* Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional development.
* Providing education and training assistance to other staff when applicable.
About the Company
The hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. It is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. The hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.
About You
* 2 years RN experience in Scrub Scout Nursing with experience
* Authority to Work in Australia
* Working with Children check
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
* Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
* Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
