Are you a Registered Scrub Scout Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care? We are actively looking for a Registered Nurse for the Scrub Scout Perioperative Unit. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities:
Commitment to delivery safe, effective and comprehensive nursing care
Work collaboratively within the perioperative healthcare setting
Maintains a professional relationship and works comfortably within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
About the Company
The 146 beds hospital provides a unique range of acute services including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal,oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery and select surgery for paediatrics. Obstetrics services includes a special care nursery. General and specialty medicine includes cardiology, angiography, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, respiratory and rheumatology.
The hospital also has a 24 hour emergency care centre, critical care unit, five operating theatres, endoscopy suite and day surgery facility.
About You
Specialised Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics/Pacu experience is highly favourable
Working with Children check
Bachelor of Nursing
Current Registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Perioperative Nursing (Desirable)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Good clinical decision-making and problem solving skills
Works well independently and within a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proactive, motivated and customer focused
Proficient computer skills
