Full admin supportOur current speech pathologist is going on maternity leave…..she would love to chat with you if you are interested in joining our team.Please note this position is not a maternity leave position it is an ongoing position.We are looking for a Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our small multidisciplinary clinic. If you love working in a calm, relaxed environment with access to indoor and outdoor environments surrounded by nature and animals, we would love to hear from you.We are seeking a fun, friendly and experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Hinterland Children's Therapy team and work alongside our Occupational therapists, Physiotherapist and play therapist. We are a small, family-owned clinic, based in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Guanaba (10 minutes from Nerang and Oxenford).We have fully equipped therapy rooms and access to safe, fenced grass areas for outdoor therapy in the beautiful quiet hinterland surrounded by horses, miniature horses and miniature cows.The large majority of our children present with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Motor Dyspraxia, Sensory Challenges, Social and Emotional Challenges, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays and Learning Difficulties.Why work with us:Working within a friendly and supportive small team with plenty of peer to peer support and external fortnightly supervision with a senior speech pathologist.9 day fortnight or part time 8 day fortnightallocated admin time each dayadmin supportAccess to an equipped therapy room and outdoor environments for therapy.Generous above award renumeration according to experience plus superannuation1:1 external supervision fortnightlyGenerous professional development allowancePaediatric focus with children aged 0-12 yearsActive contribution and creation to clinic planning and programsQualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology AustraliaCurrent membership with Speech Pathology AustraliaWorking with Children Check or willingness to obtainFirst Aid and CPR training or willingness to obtainA full drivers licence and access to a reliable carThe right to live and work in Australia long-termAble to commit to a minimum 12 month contractSkills and Experience:A comprehensive understanding of the needs of children with a diverse range of disabilities.Demonstrated skill in working in an allied health clinic, with a sound understanding of your role as a Speech Pathologist in this contextExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in a small team environment and autonomously.Commitment to evidence based practice, continuing professional development and quality improvementCommitment to strength based, child centred practice.Demonstrated competence in use of information technology, internet and desktop applications; e.g. electronic client record systems, Outlook, Word, Excel and database packages.Strong organisational and time management skills.A demonstrated passion for working with children.Duties:Provide individual therapy and support to children aged 0-12 years primarily in clinic or at home, school or childcare as needed.Conduct initial and a range of assessments and establish therapy plans. Communicate these results with families or carers.Support families and caregivers with support, training and strategies to develop and increase the child's functioning and family well being.Refer to other services as required.Liaise with team and other professionals.Administration and documentation tasks including keeping up to date client records and report writing.In your application please include your CV and a cover letter outlining why you would be a great fit for our clinic.
