We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our existing team at our Brighton clinic.


The role:


As an experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist you will work as an integral member of a strong MDT in this busy centre. You will have the opportunity to further develop your experience across all areas of Prosthetics and Orthotics in this clinically challenging environment.


Our Brighton Prosthetic service covers all amputation levels and ages. Our Orthotic service provides independent orthotics clinics for adult neuro rehabilitation patients. Our bespoke inpatient orthotic service is gold standard.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Treating a range of amputation levels, using the latest technology including CAD CAM.
  • Assessing, casting/scanning, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting prosthetics and orthotics across a range of amputation levels.
  • Managing your patient’s case, ensuring needs are respected and the patient is informed throughout the process.
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records
  • Making a proactive contribution to the Service Contract and Company as a whole

What are we looking for?


Essential skills and experience


  • Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics
  • HCPC registration
  • Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
  • Experience in lower limb prosthetics
  • Experience in upper limb prosthetics (desirable)
  • Have specialist clinical experience, e.g. MPK (desirable)
  • Have experience in delivering a range of orthotic clinics
  • Experience or have a desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Orthotic clinics are held offsite so a driving licence or the ability to travel independently is essential.
