Cpl Healthcare UK are currently recruiting a Lead Speech and Language Therapist for a role based in Bristol.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Speech and Language Therapist (experience equivalent to Band 8a) to join a well-established multidisciplinary team for Neurological Rehabilitation.


As the Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a pivotal role within the senior management team. You will lead a team of knowledgeable and skilled Speech and Language Therapists, overseeing the delivery of high-quality care and rehabilitation services to patients.


Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Lead and manage the SLT Team, ensuring effective delivery of a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service
  • Maintain and develop a high-quality SLT service through recognised professional standards, evidence-based practice, and an effective clinical audit programme
  • Plan and prioritise a small complex clinical caseload
  • Provide advanced specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing for a caseload of patients with highly complex physical and cognitive impairments
  • Evaluate effectiveness of interventions using valid and reliable outcome measures and adherence to UKROC Database measures
  • Ensure effective and timely communication at all levels (with patients, families, the MDT and external agencies)
  • Develop and deliver in-service education and training programme for the wider MDT
