SHEQ Advisor – Essex

We are looking for a SHEQ Advisor with construction experience to work for a business delivering a number of major projects linked to critical national infrastructure.

Experience

• NEBOSH General or Construction certificate
• Knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations
• Background as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment (Utilities experience desirable)
• Demonstrated high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
• Able to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel

Duties

• Conduct site inspections to monitor direct employees and sub-contractors
• Provide expert advice on e.g. risk assessments, risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machinery
• Be the point of contact for external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders as directed by the SHEQ Manager
• Support incident management & investigation process
• Delivery of training to operatives and new starters

Location – Essex – Regionwide travel

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £45,000
