About the role

The purpose of these roles is to effectively undertake sourcing activities for Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) goods and services that support Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) in the delivery of business outcomes and in accordance with local and whole-of-Government policies and procedures. The roles will work directly with stakeholders across MNHHS and are part of a team responsible for the co-ordination and management of processes related to the procurement of ICT goods and services and on-going management of ICT Contracts.

The Senior Procurement and Contracts Officers provide expert advice to colleagues and customers within MNHHS to ensure that all legislative and organisational requirements are complied with during an end to end procurement activity.

The roles will be responsible for managing procurement process relating to day-to-day procurement as well as establishing, contracts, standing offer arrangements and panel arrangements, with a view towards maximising efficiencies in both process and cost for MNHHS.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in an ICT procurement sourcing role, ideally in an ICT and/or Health context.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and application of the QITC contract framework.
  • Ability to provide high level procurement advice and services to key stakeholders including senior management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to acquire and apply knowledge of ICT procurement, contractual and legislative requirements relating to the MNHHS and State Government ICT Procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, interpretation and analysis of data relevant to procurement and on-going contract management of goods and services.
  • Ability to work effectively and develop collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams and undertake negotiations with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • High-level conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex procurement issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse situations using a risk management framework and identify and implement practical and innovative strategic and operational solutions.
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills capable of confident and sensitive communications, particularly when engaging with contractors and end-user stakeholders to support effective business change, including the ability to establish relationships and influence key stakeholders with competing interests.
