The Role
The Principal Project Officer – Data Analyst (Health Economics) will support the delivery of ORI's Health Technology agenda for Queensland Health. The position will work collaboratively with the ORI team to provide health economic analysis to support decision making in relation to Health Technology.


Your key responsibilities
•    Conduct rigorous systematic evidence assessments that underpins the use of safe, effective and cost-effective health technologies across Queensland Health.
•    Study complex data and statistics and use findings to provide cost- effectiveness advice on new technologies, treatments, therapies and models of care.
•    Monitor interstate and National recommendations and policies with regards to high-cost therapies and other emerging priority therapeutic areas.
•    Effectively communicate health economic and outcomes research findings internally and externally.
•    Independently prepare and present high quality and authoritative analytical documents and reports.
•    Provide advice on the application and interpretation of qualitative & quantitative data and various types of economic impact analysis.
•    Engage with a range of stakeholders on the uptake and appraisal of new technologies and treatments.

The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
•    Experience in the development and execution of evidence strategies and plans in healthcare projects.
•    Experience and understanding of health technology assessment methodology.
•    Data modelling and analytics to translate health economic principles and research findings for policy design, health program implementation and evaluation. 
•    High level communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Excellent project and time management skills.
