About us:

Central Queensland (CQ) Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset - “our people”.

The Workforce Division Unit comprises approximately 40 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).

About the role:

Contribute to the effective development and delivery of professional occupational health, workplace safety and workplace rehabilitation and return to work services provided by the Workforce Safety and Wellbeing Unit and effectively and efficiently inform and lead the relevant Workforce Safety and Wellbeing Advisors and staff on occupational health and workplace safety and workplace rehabilitation and return to work responses and strategies.

The position provides high level advice and support in the application of workplace health and safety, workplace rehabilitation, workers compensation and organisational wellbeing so as to assist CQHHS achieve safe, healthy and supportive workplaces and work practice for staff.

About you:

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to effectively lead, manage and support a client focussed team capable of meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
  • Ability to undertake research, training, policy and program development and evaluation which lead to business improvement
  • Ability to manage workload to achieve identified outcomes and timelines against agreed performance standards, in a large public sector service delivery

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $144, 003 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $59.42 - $63.65 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
