Mt Barker Medical Clinic was the first medical practice to be established in Mt Barker and has been providing medical services to the community for over 50 years. We are a family practice where our clinicians and clinic teams deliver high-quality primary health care and a personal approach to all patients.
About the role
We are seeking a nurse who can work well as part of a team as well as the confidence to work independently when required. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, caring in nature, professional and well organised. A sound background in patient care is essential to support our patients, doctors and team. Duties will include all aspects of general practice nursing both clinical and Chronic Disease Management. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and demonstrate a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, show initiative and strive for high standards.
We are seeking individuals who are flexible for regular work with the ability to cover leave when required. In return, the successful candidate will enjoy a great team environment and be supported with regular educational opportunities.

What you will bring

Your experience in health care will enable you to perform a range of clinical duties including; immunisations, wound care management, assisting with minor surgical procedures, maintaining patient records, and effectively managing the recall process.

Hold AHPRA Registration
Adjust to and implement change to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
Have the ability to work independently, but also be a reliable team player
Provide excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
Be self-motivated, and possess a high standard of work values
Show enthusiasm and initiative with opportunities for quality improvement
