Job Description Candidates are invited to apply for the Full-Time Temporary position of Clinical Manager RN of Poplar Program. Extendicare Cedars Villa, a 243-bed long-term care home, located in Calgary, Alberta. Poplar unit is a 39-bed secured unit that provides care to seniors with mid to late stages of Dementia. Reporting to the Director of Care for Dementia Programs is responsible for the clinical care and services offered to the residents. Responsibilities: • Facilitates, collaborates, and oversees the delivery of resident care services, ensuring the implementation and evaluation of systems and processes to meet the care needs of the residents. • Ensures that professional standards are maintained with respective scope of practice and that a collaborative decision-making model is utilized. • Participates actively in the leadership of multi-site strategic planning and Continuous Quality Improvement. • Ensures positive relations with government and regulatory bodies by complying with standards and guidelines and participating in best practice initiatives. • Participates in facility fiscal management. • Participates in facility strategic planning to align the nursing department in response to internal and external environmental challenges. • Ensure that implementation of policies and procedures are aligned with facility culture, vision, mission, and values. • Provide direction in accordance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Extendicare policy. • Provide leadership and support on RAI/MDS coding, auditing, and data management. Qualifications: • Registered nurse at the diploma or degree level • Must have current license with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta • Experience in Long term care with Gerentological Nursing Certificate • Experience with Dementia Residents • At Minimum 1 to 2 years experience as Charge nurse and/ or leadership • Previous experience with RAI 2.0, Quality Indicators, and initiatives Time Type: Full timeWhen you choose to build your career with Extendicare, you’re joining a team dedicated to making a difference.
