NHS Grampian is seeking a physicist to coordinate and support the NHS contribution to the University of Aberdeen's internationally renowned MSc programs in Medical Physics and Medical Imaging. The successful applicant will receive an appropriate honorary University appointment and will also have the opportunity to contribute to clinical development and clinical tasks within the Medical Physics Department.

The post holder will be a conduit between the Medical Physics Department and the University of Aberdeen’s School of Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition. The primary task will be to act as course coordinator for several MSc courses and be responsible for reviewing and coordinating the course content on an ongoing basis. The post holder will be expected to:

Organise the Department’s teaching contributionsCoordinate access to NHS facilities for the practical components of the MSc courseParticipate in clinical development projectsSupport clinical trial activityDevelop their research interests within the department’s remitSupervise MSc (and potentially PhD) projectsSupport the clinical work of various Medical Physics disciplines

This post requires a good Honours Degree (2.1 or higher) in an appropriate physical science and a relevant postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD). Applicants should be registered as a Clinical Scientist in the field of medical physics with the HCPC.
