The role 

You will provide valuable advice and recommendations to executive management, aiding in the development and implementation of HR policy documents. Your contributions will ensure alignment with organisational goals and support the needs of policy developers, managers, and HR practitioners across the department and hospital and health services.

  • Stay updated on state and national health policies and public sector workforce issues.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining HR policies, directives, procedures, and guidelines to meet industrial standards and organizational needs.
  • Conduct research and analysis on employment issues for accurate advice on HR management policies.

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Experience in HR policy development in complex service delivery.
  • Ability to quickly grasp industrial relations legislation and public sector health dynamics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting quality documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills to achieve organizational goals and build relationships with stakeholders.
