About us:

Emerald Hospital is a 32-bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across emergency, acute care, perioperative services, maternity, infusion services, HITH, child heath, mental health, palliative care, community and primary care.

Blackwater MPHS is a busy rural 16 bed facility incorporating 4 aged care beds, providing acute inpatient, accident and emergency, pharmacy, outpatient, and urgent radiology services to the community. Springsure is a small country town located at the foot of Mount Zamia.

Springsure MPHS helps supports local mines and agricultural producers. Springsure MPHS provides Springsure and surrounding community with integrated health services across a range of speciality area.

Woorabinda MPHS is a 28-bed facility with 63 staff located 175km west from Rockhampton Hospital. It provides a range of health services to the community, including emergency, inpatients and outpatients, and residential aged care.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the position is to advocate for and provide advice to the Central Highlands Unit across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) on contemporary quality, safety, and risk management practices to meet the business unit's strategic and operational objectives, CQHHS Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) EQuIPNational Standards.

About you:

To be appointed to the Nursing role you must have:

  • Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position.
  • Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.

There are nil mandatory requirements to be appointed to the Administration role.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $12,00 p.m. (AO6) or $10,992 p.m. - Nurse Grade 6 (1)  is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $63.65 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
