An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Primary Care 24 (PC24) as a Deputy Shift Manager based at our head office in Wavertree Technology Park, Liverpool.



We need someone who has:



  • Experience in a similar role in a contact centre environment
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Capability to motivate a team
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Experience in using Adastra/EMIS clinical systems

As a Deputy Shift Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Shift Manager in overseeing the day to day operational, safe and efficient delivery of PC24 services. You will support the Shift Manager in ensuring we delivery high standards of patient care in line with Key Performance Indicators.



Key responsibilities



  • Support the operational delivery of PC24 Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services, working in partnership with the Shift Manager
  • Ensure that arrangements are in place to guarantee each Urgent Care Centre operates effectively and to the required standards
  • Utilise and deploy the resources available to the service to the best effect throughout a shift in line with service needs
  • Ensure all key HR policies, such as absence management, are adhered to
  • Support the promotion of clear real time understanding of service-wide performance and organisational messages
  • Work with the Shift Manager to address key risks to the effective operation of the service during hours of service delivery



About you



  • and numeracy skills at GCSE level C or equivalent
  • to work flexibly across the week, including evenings, nights and weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • and professional at all times
  • to problem solve and think clearly in pressured situations
  • IT skills including the use of Microsoft packages
  • of working to policies and procedures
  • of using EMIS (desirable)
  • of working in a healthcare environment (desirable)
