About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse-Midwife, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our Birthing Unit on a permanent part time basis – 32 hours per week.

The Role

As a Clinical Nurse - Midwife you will demonstrate leadership and role modelling in the care of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal women seeking care within the Private Healthcare setting.

You will also be responsible for the delivery of quality women centred care, developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice and initiating research and quality improvement activities.

You will work as part of the health care team participating in working parties or committees as required and demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

· AHPRA Registration as a Midwife with 'extensive' Birth Suite experience

· Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate women centred care

  • Demonstrated effective communication
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiative using research principles to support evidence-based practice, including development of policies and guidelines.
  • Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Workplace Health and Safety, and the impact on employment and service delivery.
