Head Nurse - Surgical Center

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled Head Nurse for our surgical center to ensure efficient management of surgical center protocol and procedures in addition to maintain high-quality patient care experience Pre - during and Post Operative support. Efficient leadership skills to overall management of nursing staff in accordance with our company values, culture, policies and regulations.

Finally you are responsible to deliver continuous improvement measures in all areas of your work and maintain a positive and healthy work environment. You will work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure best possible outcomes.

Duties:
- Medication management
- Develop and implement policies, procedures as well as protocols to ensure clear and concise communication amongst colleagues
- Ensure all nursing staff comply with employer and professional standards

- Strong collaborative approach with physicians and team of healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient status
- Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilization to ensure a clean and safe environment
- OR Operations management

Qualifications and requirements:
- DEC in Nursing with 3 year experience or BSc in Nursing
- Knowledge of Agrément Canada protocols will be considered and asset
- Minimum three years' experience in operating room in public hospital or private setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Registered in good standing with L'Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec
- Knowledgeable of electronic medical records management
- Knowledge with the Norms of operating room nursing practice by ORNAC
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Perfectly bilingual (French and English)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong leadership skills in fast paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

  • French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)
