About us:

Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) is responsible for the delivery of health service to Prisoners in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC) and Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) including workcamps.  COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1030 male Prisoners within CCC and CCF. The CCC receives and transitions Prisoners on release from and to geographical locations north to Mackay; south to Gladstone, east to Capricorn Coast; and west to Central Highlands. COHS provides clinical services within the correctional centre, which is unique to other clinical services, in that, COHS provides services within a structured day and security function of CCC/ a correctional centre. Therefore, limitations exist in how healthcare services are provided and the timeframe for which this can occur given the safety and security function within a correctional facility. 

About the role:

The purpose of the role is to supervise, coordinate and support a team that provides quality administrative support services within the COHS. The health centre administrative functions support clinical staff and clinics provided by a multidisciplinary team; daily clinical records management, supporting referral and client appointments and coordination of clinical and non-clinical supplies.

About you:

  • Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant qualification e.g. Diploma or Certificate IV in Business, Health Administration or equivalent, will be well regarded.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $9,238 p.m. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $44.47 - $49.00 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
